Shehu Sani Accuses Buhari’s Supporters Of Frustrating War On Corruption

Senator Shehu Sani (APC – Kaduna Central) has berated some un-named supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari and accused them of playing a double game with the president’s war on corruption.

Sani revealed on Saturday on Facebook that it was these same people close to the president who were instigating the foreign media against the president’s economic policies, just to make the president look bad.

The senator was speaking against the backdrop of a recent publication by the Financial Times UK which lampooned the president’s economic policies, labelling it the height of foolishness.

Also, he noted that these same unscrupulous elements were also doing everything within their power to ensure that the president’s bilateral agreement with the United Arab Emirates geared towards securing the return of money illegally siphoned from Nigeria to the UAE fails.

However, he sounded a note of warning to the individuals, while warning Nigerians to beware of their defeatist antics.

“Any attempt to undermine or sabotage or stifle President Muhammadu Buhari-led bilateral agreement with the government of UAE in his effort to recover looted funds stashed as deposits, shares, bonds or real estate must be resisted by all well-meaning Nigerians.

“Algeria with a population of about 40million have a foreign reserve of $160 billion and Nigeria with 175 million have $28 billion.

“Nigerians should be weary of all sorts of propaganda and misinformation against PMB’s efforts, by those who have gotten the signal that the law is closing in on them and their loot.

“Saboteurs are already at work, using capitalists foreign media to discredit, dismiss and condemn Buhari’s economic policies. Time shall expose their perfidy and deception.”
