Shehu Sani Laments over ‘Ceaseless funerals’ in Nigeria

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has lamented over the current state of Nigeria which is now characterized by “ceaseless funerals”.

This is coming after the massacre in Auno in which 30 people were killed in an attack by Boko Haram terrorists.

The nation has continued to suffer the loss of innocent citizens since the beginning of the year. Some of the atrocities committed by unknown gunmen include the gruesome murder of Lawan Andimi, Adamawa Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Emmanuel Nnadi an 18-year-old seminarian who was abducted and killed by unknown gunmen, about 30 people who were killed in Borno state during a raid, just to name a few.

The recent attack involved 10 members of the same family who were burnt to death by bandits in Bakali village, Fatika District, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The former lawmaker has taken to his verified social media account to condemn the attack staing Nigeria is now a nation characterized with ceaseless funerals.

“The report that bandits locked,burned and roasted 16 people alive in Giwa lg,Kaduna state is tragic and condemnable.We live in times of perpetual fear and serial mourning.

The nation is tragically in a ceaseless funeral; As the tears of one family dries up, that of another gushes.”
