Shell Shuts Down Major Operation In Nigeria

Oil and Gas company, Shell, has shut down Nigeria’s Trans Niger Pipeline for undisclosed reasons.

The  Trans Niger Pipeline is one of the two major pipelines that carries the Bonny Light crude grade for export.

The pipeline was shut down on Monday, Reuters reports.

The cause for the shutdown or impact on production remains unknown.

However, recent bombings by Niger Delta Militant groups could have played a part in the decision to shut down the Pipeline.
