Shocking: Female Professor, 49, Joins Nigeria Police Force (Video)

A Professor of English Language at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Joy Eyisi, has joined the Nigeria Police Force.

Prof. Eyisi joined the police after passing out from the Police Training College, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday.

She was also said to have been adjudged the overall best trainee at the college.

A friend and mentee of the 49-year-old university don, Engr. Martin Agbili, made the announcement on Facebook.

Agbili is the Director of Anambra State Fire Service and a multiple- award winning safety professional.

He said, “Congratulations! Congratulations!! Congratulations!!!

“Another history was recorded today in Nigeria.

“Meet my Mentor and a Professor that joined Nigerian Police Force.

“She is Prof Joy Eyisi.

“Today, Saturday 1st September, 2018, she passed out from the Police Training College, Ikeja, Lagos. Prof Joy Eyisi also won the award of Overall Best at Police Training College.

“This is very motivating despite her status and academic position, she decided to do this.

Prof. Joy Eyisi hails from Adazi-Ani in Anambra State.

“Please join me to congratulate her.”

Prof Eyisi was born on September 3, 1969 and attended Girl’s High School, Agulu, where she graduated in 1986 before proceeding to University of Nigeria, Nsukka for a degree in English Language and Literature, graduating in 1992.

She holds an M.Ed degree in Arts of Education Administration and School Supervision from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

She joined the university’s teaching staff in 2001 and rose to become a professor in English Language at the school.
