The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has released over N12million for the purchase of cows for orphans in the state.
The state Governor released the money through the Zakkat and endowment Committee ahead of the Eid celebration across the 85 Districts in the state.
Analysis of the released sum showed that a total of one hundred and thirty thousand naira twill be apportioned to each district in the state for the purchase of the bull which will thereafter be distributed to at least forty orphans across the 85 District heads.
The Governor at the Sultan of Sokoto’s palace also distributed the sum of N25,000 to each district head for the purchase of Sallah rams.
