Soludo Pays N50 Million Campaign Permit Fee Ahead of Anambra Governorship Election

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has officially paid the N50 million campaign permit fee required for participation in outdoor political campaigns ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
The payment was made on Wednesday by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the governor’s party, in line with the directive issued three weeks ago by the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA). The agency had mandated all political parties and candidates contesting the election to pay the stipulated fee to legally conduct outdoor campaigns across the state.

Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, delivered the bank draft to ANSAA on behalf of the governor. The permit was handed over by ANSAA Managing Director, Odili Tony Ujubuonu, who commended APGA for adhering to the guidelines.
“This Political Campaign Permit empowers APGA to begin deploying campaign materials and promotional activities across Anambra State, including posters, branded vehicles, public address systems, banners, fliers, and T-shirts used in street storms, rallies, and more in all 21 Local Government Areas,” Ujubuonu stated.
He further noted that APGA’s timely compliance demonstrated the party’s readiness to conduct a responsible and coordinated campaign within the framework of the agency’s signage and advertising standards.
Governor Soludo becomes the fifth candidate to obtain the permit, following Young Progressives Party’s Paul Chukwuma, Labour Party’s George Moghalu, Action Alliance’s Jeff Nweke, and African Democratic Congress’s John Nwosu.
