Pastor Alfa Babatunde, Sotitobire Miracle Centre who is currently in custody over the whereabouts of a missing child, has sued the Department of State Service (DSS) for his unlawful detention.

During a church service on November 10, 2019, a one-year-old joy, Eniola Kolawole went missing in the creche section of Sotitobire miracle centre. Pastor Alfa Babatunde shunned all questions from the missing child’s parents.

He allegedly made himself unavailable to the parents showing no form of concern or compassion.

Eniola’s parents reported to relevant authorities and this necessitated his arrest by DSS operatives.

Recall, The Herald earlier reported that angry youths set the church ablaze on Wednesday,  following claims that the body of the missing child was buried under the church altar.

However, the embattled Pastor has filed a suit through his legal counsel Akinyemi Omowale over his continued detention without charging him to court. He claims this was a violation of the Pastor’s fundamental human rights and hence demanded N100m as compensation.
