Spectators Raise Supply As Market Depreciates By 1.87%

The equities market closed today on a negative note, as NSE ASI depreciated by 1.87% to close at 24,056.12basis points, compared with the 1.26% depreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -16.10%

The market recorded 27 gainers today led by Seplat with a gain of N13.06 to close at N274.37 followed by ETI with a gain of N0.25 to close at N15 while NAHCO gained N0.17 to close at N3.7 per share.

On the other hand, Eterna topped 27 stocks on the losers’ chart with N0.01 to close at N1.91 followed by Aiico that lost N0.01 to close at N0.84 per share, and Learn Africa that lost N0.01 to close at N1.42 per share.

All together, a total of 335,612,027shares worth N1,952billion exchanged hands in 2,847 deals.
