Kayode Ogundamisi, a broadcaster and staunch supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, has harshly rebuked the president over the “deplorable” security situation in the country.

The UK-based Ogundamisi criticised the president’s handling of Nigeria’s security situation in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

He advised the president to stop passing the blame for the unpleasant security situation, reminding him that the buck stops at his table as the Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria’s security forces.

Ogundamisi also flayed Buhari for failing to sack the service chiefs despite justifiable reasons to do so, accusing the service chiefs of having a “free pass”.

According to him, the Federal Government under Buhari is also not showing any signs of urgency to curtail the security situation, describing it as a “National Emergency”.

Ogundamisi tweeted, “The buck stops at your table President Buhari.

“As a supporter, I find the security situation deplorable, more embarrassing is that the service chiefs seems to be having a free pass, your government isn’t showing any sense of urgency.

“This has been a National Emergency. Act!”
