Former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has confirmed the death of his wife of many years, CompleteSports reports.
Rumour had filtered in earlier in the day that the 53-year-old had lost his wife but it could not be immediately verified.
But in a report by the foremost Nigerian sport publication, Keshi, who is presently in the United States, reportedly confirmed the news.
He said: “She was ill for a while now and I’m still in shock of this great loss.
“She is more like a sister to me and was the rock behind me and everything I do.
“My love for her was at first sight.”
He said the family would communicate the plans for her burial to the media in due course.
