Stop Using Methylated Spirit As Aftershave

2 Min Read

Men groom their facial hair at least once a week, either by themselves at home or they visit salons to get it done by professional barbers.

An important part of the shaving process is the application of aftershave at the end of the session.

Unfortunately, most men in Nigeria use methylated spirit, and other alcohol-based products, as aftershave because of that familiar painful sting which seemingly-indicates to them that the ointment is “working” by killing germs and preventing infection.

While this may be true, it is also true that many men do not know the many negative effects of applying methylated spirit, and other alcohol-based products, on their faces and necks after shaving.

These products damage the skin by making it more susceptible to infection, drying it, increasing razor bumps etc.
This video by TwoThreeFourMen not only highlights the multiple problems associated with using methylated spirit, and other alcohol-based products, as an aftershave lotion; it also suggests several safer alternatives which equally leave the skin protected and smooth with a greatly-improved appearance.

Go ahead and watch the informative video below (and don’t forget to share this knowledge to all your male friends):
