Super Bowl confirmed to go Gaga

On Thursday, Lady Gaga announced that she would be headlining Super Bowl’s halftime show.

Gaga was first rumoured to be in the race for the gig in mid-september. This was confirmed when the 30-year old pop icon tweeted “It’s not an Illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA.”

The Super Bowl at 50 drew an estimated 111.9 million people when Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Beyonce performed but the highest halftime show viewers came in 2015 when Katy Perry, Missy Elliot and Lenny Kravitz drew a TV audience of around 118.5 million viewers.

The 51st edition of the football match is on the 5th of February, 2017 at the NRG Stadium, Houston TX.
