Super Eagles’ forward, Onyekuru joins Monaco for €15m

French Ligue 1 side, AS Monaco has signed Nigeria striker, Henry Onyekuru from Premier League club Everton.

Onyekuru’s contract is expected to see him play for five seasons at a fee worth €15m.

The 22-year-old has 11 caps for Nigeria and was part of the team that helped Nigeria emerge third at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Reacting to his new move, Onyekuru said, “I’m very happy to join a great club like AS Monaco. I will give everything to improve and help the Club to have a great season. I look forward to meeting my teammates.

“(This is a) new challenge, I am excited. Let us get started. I want to thank Everton for the opportunity and making it possible for me to experience the best year of my career at Galatasaray.
