Super Eagles players have smiled to the bank as they have pocketed a whopping sum of N482 million as appearance fees for the friendly games against Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon in Belgium.

Inside camp sources hinted that the players and officials got £4,000 each for featuring in the friendlies, which threw the camp in Brussels into frenzy when the largesse was sent across.

“Some of the invited players who were new to the system got the shock of their lives when they got the largesse and it was written all over their faces they were happy with the NFF’s gesture,” the source enthused.

Meanwhile, the national team’s coach, Sunday Oliseh, thanked Nigerian fans for supporting and inspiring the Eagles to a 3-0 victory against Cameroon on Sunday.

Oliseh dedicated the victory over Cameroon to the fans who showed their support in spite of all the setbacks.

Oliseh wrote on his Twitter handle on Monday: “I dedicate this scintillating victory of the Super Eagles over Cameroon to all ‘true’ Naija fans who irrespective of all the lies believed.”
