Unconfirmed reports say that English Premier League, side Manchester City have signed Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola on a three-year contract in a deal that will make him the world’s highest paid manager.

According to respected German paper ‘Bild’, the 44-year-old tactician is expected to earn 25 million euros a year, more than any other manager in the world and twice his current pay at Bayern Munich.

Guardiola’s current deal at the German side expires in 2016 while current City manager, Manuel Pellegrini’s contract at the Citizens runs out in June 2017.

The Spaniard has been the toast of every top club in Europe ever since he started giving hints of an unwillingness to continue in his role at the Allianz Arena, which culminated in Bayern Munich confirming Carlo Ancelotti to take over from him next season.
