SURPRISE: See How AS Roma Of Italy Announced Super Eagles World Cup Squad List

UEFA Champions League semi-finalists, AS Roma of Italy surprised many Nigerians on Thursday when its verified Twitter handle described the Super Eagles of Nigeria as “our”.

The Italian giants did this while announcing the 30-man provisional World Cup squad of the Super Eagles.

Along with an infographic of the entire list by playing positions, there was a caption: “The #SuperEagles have announced a provisional 30-man squad for the @FIFAWorldCup – with 7 players due to be cut before the final list is submitted. Stay tuned for more updates from the @NGSuperEagles camp ahead of our opening match against Croatia on June 16.

This immediately sparked talks among teeming Nigerian fans of the Super Eagles that the account is being managed by a Nigerian.
