Hollywood star actress, Taraji P. Henson turned the Big 50 on Friday, September 11, and she marked her special day in pristine class by taking a trip to Mexico to turn it up with her friends, Mary J. Blige, Angie Martinez, and a host of others.
The “Acrimony” and “Empire” star took to Instagram page to share a series of photos of herself posing in an elegant white two-piece bikini aboard a yacht as she celebrated her her birthday.
“Go off shawty it’s ya BIRFDAY,” she captioned the photos, referencing 50 Cent‘s 2003 song “In Da Club.”

Taraji studied acting at Howard University and began her Hollywood career in guest roles on several television shows before making her breakthrough in Baby Boy back in 2001.
She received praise for her performances as a prostitute in Hustle & Flow in 2005, for which she received a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture nomination.
She also received the award for her role as a single mother of a disabled child in David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 2008, for which she received Academy Award, SAG Award and Critics Choice Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress
