According to an exclusive on the Linda Ikeji website, an eyewitness called Chukwuma Ani has narrated how celebrity Tunji Balogun (Teebillz) almost jumped off a bridge.
This was following the huge scandal that played out on Instagram this morning where he allegedly accused his wife Tiwa Savage of infidelity and also hinted that he was depressed and wanted to commit suicide.
According to Ani, he says he was driving along the Lekki-Ikoyi toll bridge when he was hit from behind by another car. Ani in anger stepped out to confront the person who hit him and says he saw a man who turned out to be Teebillz in his car.
Ani was visibly angry and was admonishing Teebillz, telling him to come down and assess the damage to his car. Teebillz on his part only said that Ani should leave and that he was there for a reason, a reason which Ani would hear of later.
Then according to Ani, Teebillz drove off in a hurry. Ani who saw this as an attempt to flee drove after the car and was surprised when it stopped, he quickly got in front of the car trying to bar any means of escape for the offending driver.
He then came down to again berate Teebillz over his behavior. Teebillz reportedly didn’t answer but walked to the railing and looked down. Ani didn’t understand until he saw another car stop and someone get out and run towards Teebillz screaming.
Ani reportedly said “I thought I was watching a movie” Ani told LIB “the man held the railing and tried to jump over it and that was when the yellow man held him and started shouting for help. The two of them nearly fell into the water. I quickly joined the yellow man to pull the guy out and while we were struggling with him, one PSquare twin (Peter Okoye) and Banky W joined us to pull the man out ”
Linda Ikeji reports that Teebillz is safe and is surrounded by family and friends. There has been no confirmation of the story from other sources at the moment.
