General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma has called on Northern politicians with friends in Boko Haram to tell the insurgents that their reign of terror in unIslamic.

Danjuma made the call in Lafia during the turbaning of himself as Barde Babba as well as his wife, senator Daisy Danjuma, as Aminiya Lafia.

“I plead with all of you who have some form of communication with Boko Haram to plead with them what they are doing is un-Islamic”.

“Boko Haram have friends among us and those friends of theirs should use their influence, whatever influence they have on Boko Haram, to tell them to please release our girls”.

“The abduction of these young girls who were taken away to unknown destination with the aim of converting them into Islam at gunpoint is un-Islamic.

“I plead with you particularly leaders to speak out. When initially America threatened to brand Boko Haram as a terrorist organisation, there was a lot of uproar in Nigeria. People pleaded that it should not happen.”

He said it was unfortunate that Boko Haram sympathizers are moving around free in the country without being as much as questioned by authorities.
