Terrorists release 7 more Abuja-Kaduna train passengers after Sheikh Gumi’s intervention

Terrorists that kidnapped Abuja-Kaduna train passengers have released another seven of their victims.

It was learnt that the newly-released batch of victims included a family of six and a woman.

Abubakar Idris Garba, a staff of the National Assembly Service Commission and the son of a former Military Administrator of Kano and Benue States, has been identified as one of the released victims.

Garba was released alongside his wife, Maryam Abubakar Bobo, and their eldest son, Ibrahim Abubakar Garba (10).

Other members of the family released are Fatima Abubakar Garba (7), Imran Abubakar Garba (5), and Zainab Abubakar Garba (1).

The terrorists also released a 60-year-old woman, one Hajia Aisha Hassan.

Hassan was reportedly released over her deteriorating health.

Tukur Mamu, a former negotiator for the victims and Media Consultant to  controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi confirmed the release.

Mamu, the Publisher of Kaduna-based Desert Herald, added that the victims were released after Sheikh Gumi’s intervention.
