The Industry is a Very Dangerous Place for Young Girls — Regina Daniels

Regina Daniels in a video spoke up on child labour, the harshness of the Nollywood industry and the undue advantage they take on growing girls as she recounted her experience with an underage female while on set.

She made this known on her Instagram page while issuing out a caption which read “DISCLAIMER!!! This goes to CELEBRITIES and MOVIE PRODUCERS. PLEASE SAY NO TO CHILD LABOUR and keep the industry secure

The actress stated her shock on discovering the girl she met with was fourteen years of age— left home at thirteen and had no secure roof over her head as the toddler disclosed to her (Regina) that she moved from one hotel to the other.

Regina in the video wondered if her colleagues who had come across the girl were selfish or dumb to have not offered assistance considering the girl had come across “a lot of celebrities” whose names she refused to disclose.

Revealing that the industry is a very dangerous place for young girls, the actress affirmed that it would be practically impossible for some men to have not approached the young girl who she met; expressing her concerns at the mere thought of it.

Regina went on to tell her tale on how lucky she was to have had her mother “on her neck” which led people to avoid her considering she was “mama Regina’s daughter

She went ahead to reveal how she extended a hand of help and enrolled the said girl in one of the best boarding schools in Delta state, stating that she needed nothing from the girls who she offered assistance to. “I don’t need anything from them”, she stated.

There is something I want to share, it’s a story I wouldn’t like to share but I have to because there are things I can’t put an end to alone, it takes a collective effort to do so”, Regina stated was the essence of her putting out the video.
