Tinubu Could Win Middle Belt in 2027 — Sam Amadi
The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr. Sam Amadi, has suggested that President Bola Tinubu stands a strong chance of winning the Middle Belt region in the 2027 presidential election.
Amadi made the prediction in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, noting that Tinubu’s potential victory in the region could depend on two key “games” between him and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
“They are making it easier for Tinubu to win the Middle Belt. It depends on just two games from Tinubu and Peter Obi and I will call the zone for Tinubu,” he wrote.
The former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) made the comment in response to reports that former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami, had defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
According to Amadi, such political movements could inadvertently strengthen Tinubu’s influence in the region ahead of the next general election.
