Tinubu mourns late Lagos Assembly member Omititi who slumped at Jos rally

The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has mourned the death of member representing Mushin Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Asssembly, Hon. Sobur Olawale aka Omititi.

Tinubu offered his condolences in a statement shared via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

Recall that Omititi attended Tinubu’s Tuesday rally at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos, Plateau State.

It was learnt that Omititi, 60, slumped at the rally and died moments later.

“I offer my deepest condolences to the family of Hon. Sobur Olawale who, until his tragic demise yesterday, represented Mushin Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

“Omititi, as he was affectionately called by friends and loved ones, was a beloved family man, committed lawmaker and loyal party faithful. He was unrelenting in his support for the growth and development of Lagos State and Nigeria.

“I sympathise with his family and constituents, and pray the Almighty comforts those he left behind while granting him eternal rest,” Tinubu’s statement read.
