Tinubu Should Reshuffle His Cabinet — YPP’s Malik Ado-Ibrahim Urges President to Refresh Team

2023 Young Progressives Party (YPP) presidential candidate, Malik Ado-Ibrahim, has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reshuffle his cabinet, citing inefficiency and poor performance.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Ado-Ibrahim expressed concern that Tinubu’s cabinet lacks the capacity to implement the president’s vision for Nigeria.
“In my opinion, most of what the president has, as far as his cabinet is concerned, should be refreshed. They’re done,” he said.
He argued that the president’s team is failing to inspire confidence among Nigerians, stressing the importance of appointing competent administrators rather than political loyalists.
“You need an administrator,” Ado-Ibrahim added. “Not just someone you give a title to, like ‘health minister’ and say, ‘Go do healthy stuff.’”
He urged the president to focus on results-oriented governance and surround himself with individuals capable of executing concrete plans, especially as his administration approaches the halfway point of its first term.
His remarks follow growing public discourse around President Tinubu’s performance as he marked his second year in office on May 29, 2025.
