Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State says Nigerians are beginning to witness the positive impact of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, urging continued support for the administration’s transformation agenda.

Speaking during his Easter message at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish in Ozuh, Omuma, Orlu East LGA, Uzodimma said Tinubu’s reform-driven policies have increased revenue available to state governments and placed Nigeria on a path toward sustainable recovery.

“Though reforms often come with initial discomfort, we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel,” the governor said. “We may not have arrived at our destination, but it is clear to all discerning minds that the country is steadily moving toward economic stability and growth.”

He praised Nigerians for their patience and resilience amid the challenges of the reform period, emphasizing that national unity and cooperation are essential to achieving shared goals.

Uzodimma credited his administration’s progress in Imo State to its alignment with federal policies, saying this has helped maximize opportunities and improve service delivery.

“Our vision has been clear—to build a robust economy and strengthen infrastructure for the benefit of all Imo people. That’s why we’re working to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the local government level in the coming months,” he stated.

Reflecting on the significance of Easter, the governor described it as a symbol of hope and new beginnings, urging citizens to embrace its message of renewal.

In his homily during the service, Bishop Augustine Ukwuoma of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu called on Nigerian leaders to emulate Christ’s example of sacrificial leadership and humility.

The Easter message comes amid ongoing national debates about the impact of Tinubu’s economic overhaul, which includes the removal of fuel subsidies and a push for fiscal federalism.
