Secretary to the Delta State Government, Chiedu Ebie as well as the State Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu have tested positive for COVID-19.
The status of both top officials was announced on Sunday by the state government via Twitter.

The statement said both officials decided to undergo tests after exhibiting mild COVID-19 symptoms.
It stated further that both officials have been moved to the Delta state isolation centre and are doing quite well.

Both officials exhibited mild symptoms of the virus and consequently subjected themselves to the #COVID19 test. They have been moved to an isolation centre, are stable, and responding well to treatment.

Delta state has 501 confirmed cases so far.
