Ondo governor loses top aide to road crash

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu’s Chief of Protocol, Tosin Ogunbodede, has died in a ghastly auto crash.

It was learnt that the governor’s aide died Saturday night after a crash that occurred along the Ilesa highway.

His driver, whose name has not been ascertained, was said to have also lost his life.

According to reports, the duo was rushed to the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa where medical personnel confirmed them dead.

A third occupant of the crash reportedly survived the crash but is in critical condition in the hospital.

The identity of the individual has also not been disclosed to the media.

Akeredolu appointed Ogunbodede, a lawyer and former staff member of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State as Chief of Protocol when he assumed office in 2017.

Recall that the governor recently lost his Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties, Prof. Bayonle Ademodi, who died following complications from a surgical operation two weeks ago.
