United States President Donald Trump has criticized federal judges who have blocked efforts by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, to eliminate waste in the government. A US District Judge, Paul Engelmayer, blocked Musk and his team from accessing certain government systems after a group of attorneys general sued DOGE.
The attorneys argued that the presidential commission does not have the right to access US Department of Treasury systems. Trump accused the judges of being highly political and attempting to hinder DOGE’s work, which he claims has already uncovered billions of dollars in fraud, waste, and abuse. Musk also condemned the judge’s ruling, calling it ‘absolutely insane’ on his social media account.
