The United States president, Donald J. Trump is set to launch a full investigation into the past president, Barack Obama following the wire tapping accusations made against him.

Donald Trump who had accused Obama of wire tapping leading to the elections which held on November 8, 2016 is asking the United States Congress to beam its searchlight into the Obama administration for possible abuse of investigative powers.

Speaking on the possible abuse of powers by the Obama-led administration, the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer in a statement on Sunday said: “Reports concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election are very troubling. President Donald J. Trump is requesting that as part of their investigation into Russian activity, the congressional intelligence committees exercise their oversight authority to determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016. Neither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conducted.”

The new move comes after the former president had refuted claims made by the Donald Trump administration accusing his government of wire tapping the Trump Tower leading to the 2016 presidential elections.

The FBI Directory, James Comey, had also refuted the outrageous claims by the Trump adminisration but Trump doesn’t eem to ba backin off.

Trump in a statement released by his spokesman called the “reports” about the wiretapping “very troubling” adding that the Congress should investigate the issue thotoughly as part of its searchlight into Russia’s meddling in the election.
