A new poll has placed former US President Donald Trump ahead of successor Joe Biden and Pope Francis in a ranking of the world’s most admired men.

In the poll conducted by YouGov, Trump placed 13th ahead of Pope Francis at 16th and President Biden at 20th.

The former US president’s placing on the list is considered high considering the sustained media campaign against him.

Meanwhile, the top three positions remained unchanged from last year: former US President Barack Obama held on to the top spot for the third year; just as billionaire Bill Gates and Chinese President, Xi Jinping were second and third respectively

Football stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi occupied the 4th and 7th places respectively.

“This year’s study surveyed more than 42,000 people in 38 countries and territories to compile the list,” YouGov said in a statement announcing the list.
