The Nigerian duo were at their devastating best for their respective clubs with Iheanacho bagging a goal and an assist in Manchester City’s mauling of Bournemouth and Iwobi was generally impressive for Arsenal as they came away winner against Hull city.
Iwobi would have gotten a goal but his goal-bound effort deflected off Alexis and the Chilean was credited with the goal.
Iwobi did get an assist though as his sumptuous backheel pass to Walcott to score the second goal was amazing.
Naturally Nigerian twitter gushed about the duo with most nationals extremely proud to have both players doing well for top clubs which is something that hasn’t happened for a while.
Both players are held in high esteem by their coaches with Iheanacho seeming to be the successor to Aguero and Iwobi looking more and more likely to keep his place in the team.
