It was a tragic scene on Sunday when two young ladies were allegedly swept away by the waves at Elegushi beach.
The two young ladies, 24 year old Funmi and Shola, 27, both of whom were Covenant University alumni were at the beach to attend a friend’s party.
A friend took to Instagram to narrate the sad tale, but it was alleged that the beach could have done more to protect the girls as there was no lifeguard or other safety measures at hand.
