Two Emirs exposed for working with bandits in Zamfara

The traditional heads of Doka and Mutu villages in the Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara state have been arrested by the Nigerian troops in connection with bandits attacks in the state

Recall that the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, had accused some traditional rulers in Zamfara and the North-West region of conniving with bandits to perpetuate criminal activities.

While the Zamfara State Council of Chiefs denied the allegations, Dan-Ali had insisted that some traditional rulers are certainly complicit.

Herald Nigeria had also reported a leaked video conversation between an unknown Zamfara emir and a leader of the bandits’ group. The recording had further fuelled suspicion that some traditional rulers are helping the killers.
