Two suspected lovers were found dead inside a car in the early hours of Sunday in Maryland area of Lagos State.

The suspected lovers were discovered dead inside the car around 8am.

It could be recalled that a similar incident occured two years ago behind the Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) complex in Ogba, Lagos State.

The man, identified as Emmanuel Chetan, until his death worked as Creative Director at Image World Visual and the woman, named as Annie Bose Akhadelor.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, CSP Chike Oti, confirmed incidence.

Oti said Chetan’s identity card, phone, alcoholic beverages and local concoctions suspected to be herbal mixtures were found in the car, adding that the relatives of the deceased had been contacted.

He said the State Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu, has given the directive to the Forensic Unit of the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigative Department, Panti, Yaba to investigate the incident and report back within one week.

According to Oti, their remains have been evacuated from the scene and deposited in the mortuary for autopsy to be carried out on them in order to ascertain the cause of their death.
