UNILAG students went out in protest against the school authorities over epileptic power supply and lack of water. Things took on a dangerous turn on Friday when Military and law enforcement agents stormed the school chasing students out.
The Student Union stood firm, refusing students from leaving the school. Many had to resort to creative means of leaving the premises including going beneath the gates or over it, some even using a canal as an exit point.
One of the students took to Instagram to share these photos showing bathroom and toilets in varying states of decay. He posted.
”Reason for our #Protest… Toilets has been like this since lastweek… Exam starts soon. We can’t take it anymore! We will die if we continue, 2 students died this year already. One drink Sniper! Second died of Cancer!
#PeacefulProtest and we were sent on a quick notice to go home because we cried for help. Y? We tried with packaging but we were taken for granted. No Lie! #People
