UPDATE: Lagos DPO Who Lost Gun After Alleged Office Sex Redeployed

Lagos State Police Command has redeployed the Denton Divisional Police Officer in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State, CSP Adegoke Atilade. 

Atilade’s redeployment followed his alleged office escapade with a 29-year-old woman, Jennifer Madueke, which led to his missing service pistol.

The incident had happened on Friday, August 27, 2021.

In a statement on Friday, the Command’s spokesman, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered a thorough probe into the case.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state said a new DPO will resume at the station anytime from now, Punch reports. 

Ajisebutu, however, did not disclose the new place of assignment of the embattled officer.

Recall that Atilade arrested Madueke over his missing gun. He had also transferred her to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, after detaining her for three days at the Denton Police Station, Ebute Meta, Lagos.

It was learnt that Madueke and Atilade once dated and separated after the police officer was transferred out of Lagos over seven years ago but the duo continued after the married officer was posted back to Lagos recently.
