Imo Governor-Elect, Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be sworn in Wednesday, Jan 15, 2020 by 1pm
Uzodinma will be sworn in along his deputy Professor Placid Njoku at the state government house.
The swearing-in ceremony will be conducted by the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Paschal Nnadi amid tight security after which the governor will give a Press conference.
The governor is expected to make an announcement of his political appointments soon

The Supreme court in its ruling on Tuesday nullified the election victory of Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), declaring Uzodinma the rightful winner of the March 2019 election.
The Governor-Elect has since frozen all Imo state bank accounts till further notice
