All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Pa Muhammadu Buhari has drawn more controversy over the state of his physical and mental health after he forgot the name of his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo during an APC rally in Owerri, Imo yesterday.
During his introductory remarks, whilst acknowledging the dignitaries present, Buhari said, “The Chairman of our great party, Chief Oyegun. Your Excellency, my vice presidential candidate, Professor Yemi Osibade….”
Buhari also made other mistakes in the address which was captured in video and uploaded to Youtube.
Several members of the crowd can be heard mumbling as the errors were audible to all.
Social media commentators have already begun to respond to the incident with some asking, “Is this the man who is supposed to take us forward? Chai Buhari”
Another commentator said, “Is this who they (APC) chose?”
Special Adviser to the President o n Social Media, Reno Omokri said Jonathan was justified for saying Buhari has memory problems.
He posted on Facebook, “They mocked Jonathan for saying Buhari cant remember his phone number. Watch Buhari forget the name of his own VP.”
