Alterations notwithstanding, President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2018 Appropriation Bill of N9.12 trillion into law.

He said a supplementary or amendment budget would be prepared to remedy some of the most critical budget alterations.

The President said he hoped that the National Assembly would expeditiously consider and approve the supplementary budget when it is presented.

=====The President will also inaugurate the International Press Institute World Congress in Abuja on Thursday.

The congress would bring together journalism experts from around the world to discuss the role of quality media in building strong societies and bring about positive change to individuals and communities in Africa and around the world.

===The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) says it is working with non-OPEC countries on a long-term pact to ensure control over world crude supplies and future oil price stability.

OPEC President, Suhail Al Mazrouei, at the opening of the 7th OPEC International Seminar in Vienna, Austria, reiterated OPEC’s commitment to market stability adding a lasting agreement by both parties was in the interest of oil producers and consumers.
