A tragedy was averted today as some fishermen rescued a man attempting to commit suicide by jumping into a river in Lagos.
The incident which occurred today, 25th of June, adds to the increasing list of suicide cases in the country.
As the young man jumped, the fishermen who were going about their businesses were quick to sail to the area and pull him out on time.
Some moments later, a rescue boat was used to convey the culprit out of the water.
