Footage has emerged of the moment a suicidal man plunged to his death from the window of a high-rise building.
The horrific incident occurred in spite of the best efforts of firefighters to prevent the victim, who appears to be Chinese, from jumping to his death.
Although details such as the identity of the victim as well as circumstances surrounding the incident are sketchy, the amateur footage circulating on social media captured the moment the man jumped.
The 32-second video first shows two firefighters hanging off a window on an apparent rescue mission.
Suddenly, the victim, who is naked, pops up from the adjacent window and without so much as a care in the world threw himself down.
Although the video did not capture the moment of impact on the ground, it is highly unlikely the victim survived the fall.
