A female Twitter user, @vels20 has revealed how a male soldier flogged and threatened to injure her during an argument in Oshodi area of Lagos.

She disclosed that the incident occurred at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) point owned by United Bank for Africa (UBA) on Monday.

The victim, whose Twitter name is Ada-Oma, said she wept after the incident because she had never felt so humiliated in her life.

She stated that she was on the ATM queue when the soldier approached and told her to move so that he could stand in front of her.

After obeying, she said, she asked the soldier if he got on the queue before her, a question that riled him.

She said the soldier became furious, removed his belt from his trousers and dealt her several strokes with it.

The victim appealed to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and military authorities to identify and punish the soldier.

She equally shared videos of the incident to back up her claims, which The Herald could not independently verify.

In one of the videos the victim shared, the soldier can be heard warning the victim not to record him or “I will beat you and you’ll vomit blood”.

Bystanders can be heard in the video trying to broker peace.
