A Senator representing Katsina South in the National Assembly, Senator Abu Ibrahim and a House of Representatives member representing Bakori/Danja in the house of representatives, Amiru Tukur were attacked by angry youth yesterday.
The youth were reported to have attacked the political office holders using stones, shoes, chairs and other objects at a political event organised by the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The attack came after the National Assembly party members received some members who defected from other political parties including PDP and APGA into APC.
The politicians were however rescued by security officers attached to the state governor’s team who swooped in to rescue them from the raging youth.
