A man has proposed to his girlfriend during a #BlackLivesMatter protest in the US.
Amid all the sadness and hate going on the country right now, protesters put down their placards and halted their chanting for few minutes to celebrate the couple.
In the video, Xavier went down on his knees and pulled out a ring asking for Marjorie’s hand in marriage.
Onlookers who were amazed with the proposal gushed over the drama being played out by the lovers as they took out their phones to film the moment.
Xavier Young and Marjorie Alston were protesting in North Carolina in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

Though she had never been to a protest before, Alston was pushed to join the march as a cry for equal rights spread across the country.
“I never went out to protest before, but I was like, ‘This is the time, Seeing police brutality hits close to home because it could be anybody.” She said
