Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state and the running mate to Atiku Abubakar under the aegis of the People’s Democratic Party, has made news on Atiku’s birthday
The public speaker was caught on camera in a video where he said that people above the age of 70 should not run for political office.
According to him, he said every public official over 60 should be retired, as is the law in the civil service and leave the space for younger people who are fresher and with more energy to take up these positions

This is slightly ironic as the person he’s running with just turned 72 today
The link up between Atiku and Obi has been said in some quarters to be divine, with the General Overseer King of Kings Deliverance Ministries Gbonum Ulepa Ntezi saying: “Atiku Abubakar’s choice of Peter Obi as a running mate is a divine assignment. I said it in November 18, 2015, when the prophecy of Buhari was fulfilled was when God told me to canvass message towards Atiku’s victory in 2019 presidential poll and since then I publicized the story and you can see that everything has been going according to the divine plans of God.”
