American conservative political commentator, Candace Owens says President Joe Biden is suffering from dementia.

Owens, who has never hidden her support for former President Donald Trump, made the assertion in a tweet after President Biden’s Thursday press conference in which he frequently appeared to lose his train of thought.

Her assertion also came few days after the 46th President stumbled three times on the steps of Air Force One, fuelling concerns about his health.

Owens tweeted:

President Biden’s first press conference since his inauguration in January was packed full with awkward moments, as he repeatedly asked reporters if they wanted him to go into detail in his answers, forgot questions and relied heavily on cue cards from a binder he brought along.

Responding to a question on the Southern Border, the 78-year-old president stated,  “And the other thing we’re doing, I might add,” before cutting himself off to ask, “Am I giving you too long of an answer? Because if you don’t want the detail …”

“I don’t know how much detail you want about immigration,” he continued, going on to say, “Maybe I’ll stop there.”

The president also trailed off while responding to a question on gun control.

He had been asked whether he was acting alone or with Congress, but Biden said “all of the above” and stated that making progress on gun control was dependent on timing and then launched into a commentary on infrastrucure.

President Biden also pledged to discuss his latest effort more “tomorrow” on his planned trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, despite the trip being scheduled for next Wednesday.
