Senate President Bukola Saraki had a right old laugh at the IGP, Ibrahim Idris after the viral ‘transmission’ video was circulated.
The venue was Kwara state and it was the APC’s State Congress where the MC had guests rolling after trolling Ibrahim Idris during one of his oratory moments.
He said: “no one can come from Kwara State and not be able to speak good English as against always saying ‘transmission commission transmission’”
Saraki could be seen in the video laughing his heart out at the joke along with other people who were in attendance.
Recall that the Senate had summoned Idris to explain the justification of arresting Dino Melaye and also, the Senate tacked on another reason for the summons, which was to ask about the state of Security in the country, especially the North.
The IGP had one 3 occasions snubbed the summons sending a proxy the first two times and then just not bothering to send anyone the third time.
This drew the ire of the Senate who then termed him Persona non Grata. Idris defended himself stating that it was within his constitutional rights to send in a proxy in his stead for such a summons.
