An overconfident tourist narrowly escaped being mauled by a male lion recently after sticking his hand out from the window of a safari van in South Africa.
In the undated video posted on YouTube channel Wildlife Sightings, the white male tourist opened the window of the van to take clearer pictures of a pride of lions.
However, he stuck his hands out to touch one of the lions and nearly paid for it with his life.
Only the quick intervention of another man inside the van prevented the lion from gaining entrance.
