Since Atiku Abubakar was elected as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for 2019, Nigerians have been discussing his strained relationship with his former boss, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obasanjo had at different times vowed never to support the Waziri of Adamawa for the presidency based on what he knows about him.
While the ex-president discussed his frosty relationship with his deputy in his book, “My Watch”, he reiterated his position at a 2015 forum.
He said, “With what I know about Atiku, if I had put Atiku forward, God will not have forgiven me.”
