A lucky Nigerian woman was rescued by vigilant passersby yesterday after her husband had tied her up and hid her at the back of an SUV.
According to reports, the woman’s screams and cries attracted the attention of other road users who then tailed the SUV and discovered she was being held against her will.
After the apparently distraught woman was taken out of the vehicle, she stated that her husband had connived with his friend to use her and her third child for rituals.
She explained, “my husband and his friend were on their way to use us for money rituals before we were rescued in Surulere, Lagos.”
The woman further confessed that the same man had initially used two of her three children with him for the same evil venture in the past.
The road users who rescued the woman later descended on the man, beating him as they dragged him off the car.
